1. Red Tower

The legendary symbol of Alanya!

2. Alanya Fortress

The calling card of Alanya — a majestic fortress on a cliff.
It rises above the sea right in the city center.
You can reach it on foot along the old walls.
Or by car and city bus.
Route number four leads directly to the top.
And also — a convenient cable car.
The fortress was built in the 13th century by Sultan Keykubad.
The Seljuk era left traces of greatness here.
Walls more than six kilometers long have been preserved.
There are mosques and palace ruins inside.

Alanya Fortress is an example of Seljuk architecture.
But the foundation dates back to Byzantium.
Later it was rebuilt by the mighty Seljuks.

3. Cable Car

The best way to reach Alanya Fortress is the cable car.
It starts right from the famous Cleopatra Beach.
It opened in 2017 and quickly became popular.
You can enjoy breathtaking views of the sea.
The city and fortress appear from an unusual angle.

4. Damlataş Cave

Damlataş Cave is one of the gems of Alanya.
Located next to the famous Cleopatra Beach.
It was discovered accidentally in 1948.
During stone extraction they found this amazing hall.
A special microclimate and silence reign here.
Air humidity is almost 98%.
The temperature is always around 22–23 °C.
This makes the cave a unique place for health improvement.
People come here for asthma treatment sessions.
The air is rich in carbon dioxide and moisture.
It is beneficial for the respiratory system and lungs.
Inside you can see rare stalactites and stalagmites.
These wonders of nature are over fifteen thousand years old.
The name “Damlataş” translates as “dripping stone”.

5. Tersane Shipyard

Built in 1228 under Sultan Alaaddin Keykubad I.
This is the only Seljuk shipyard preserved in Türkiye.
Warships used to be built and repaired here.
The entrance is paid; history lovers should visit this place.
The building consists of five long oval arches.
Inside you can see massive stone vaults.
Ancient winches have survived to this day.
On the walls there are carved inscriptions and symbols.
Through the arches there is a direct view of the sea.
The water enters the building, creating a special atmosphere.

6. Dim Çayi River

The Dim River is a favorite holiday spot for Alanya residents.

7. Sapadere Canyon

The canyon is located in the village of Sapadere.
40 kilometers from the center of Alanya.
The canyon is about 750 meters long.
Here you will find coolness, cliffs and waterfalls.
Crystal-clear water and pine forest.
A place of strength and the energy of nature.
In the depth of the gorge the river roars.
Its color is amazingly emerald.
The water is cold but incredibly refreshing.
There are swimming areas with ladders.
The walk goes along wooden bridges.
The length of the trail is 360 meters.
The height of the cliffs reaches 400 meters.
Excursions usually include the Dwarf Cave.
It is famous for stalactites and a fairy-tale atmosphere.
And nearby — a village and a mosque.
You can come by yourself or with a tour.
Jeep safaris to these places are also popular.

8. Ancient City of Syedra

Located between Mahmutlar and Gazipaşa.
From the center of Alanya — only 20 kilometers.
The ruins are spread on picturesque hills.
Here open views of the sea and mountains.
Especially beautiful at sunset.
The place is perfect for walking.
A treasure for lovers of ancient history.
The city was founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC.
Its heyday came in the 2nd–3rd centuries.
About five thousand people lived here.
They even minted their own coins.
General Pompey himself stayed here.
He held a war council in Syedra.
Before his fateful escape to Egypt.
Cisterns and baths have been preserved in the city.

9. I Love Alanya

You can get there by taxi or rental car.
The platform is equipped with benches and a café.

10. Sealanya Dolphinarium

Located 16 kilometers from Alanya.
